Eat Healthy Stay Healthy

We cannot always predict what health issue is going to affect us now or in the future.  However there are a lot of things we can do to either prevent it or slow it down.

  •         Drink less soda
  •         Eating fruits and vegetables
  •         Exercise
  •          Eat more healthy foods

Take diabetes for example, this can be caused by eating excess junk food, or too much soda, smoking, or being over-weight.  If you are doing everything necessary to be healthy but you have diabetes any way, then it is important that you follow you physician advice.

You may be thinking I don’t have diabetes and no one in my family does, so I’m good.  Do you know how your heart is doing, or if the cells in your body are operating properly?  You could have a heart attack, or develop some form of cancer.

Several health studies have showed that type 2 diabetes can be reversed if you start living a healthy life style, which includes not being overweight

Long-lasting sicknesses can affect your mentally and inflect much pain on your body which can cause your health to deteriorate, increasing your medical bills way beyond your budget which could put you into bankruptcy.

The new dietary guidelines greatly emphasize vegetarian diet plan which is nutrient rich plant foods that could dramatically improve your health.  This would mean less medical cost and better health for you.

Now not everyone wants to be a vegetarian.  Let’s face it some of us like our meat, that does not mean we can’t eat healthy.  The important thing is that we don’t all suffer from premature deaths from heart disease, strokes diabetes, and strokes.

If you are overweight it is important to eat the diet that will allow you to lose weight and save on your medical bills.  Some will argue that consuming meat will lead to diabetes and other chronic diseases.

While some argue that meat is high in saturated fat which could lead to high cholesterol, meat is also a good source of protein which we all need.  Just remember to eat in moderation and eat healthy.

Eating healthy does not involve using a lot of salt (sodium) which could cause health problems.  Every culture has a way of preparing their food and this could have a lot to do with what you eat and how it affects you.

Healthy eating involves practical thinking, not going without meals, not eating just any kind of food and not eating too many sweets.  Change to more fruits and vegetable and work with a practical diet if you are looking to lose weight.

You don’t have to be a vegetarian to eat healthy, even though plant food sources are low in calories and fat free.  So if you are wondering if a vegetarian diet of plant source would meet all your nutritional needs; the answer is yes a vegetarian diet can meet all your daily nutrition requirement.

It’s time to eat healthy and stay healthy you will feel better.
