Handling Life Changes

We get motivated and start taking action to reach our goals, at the beginning of a new year, or when something happen.  But after a couple of weeks or months we start falling back into the place we were before we had the inspiration.  How do you maintain the momentum and keep going forward.

In life change is inevitable.  I like to read, and listen and getting information these days has become even easier with all the electronic device available, which allows you to read where ever you are without taking a book with you.  You now have the choice to listen to someone else read to you.

What Needs to Change
Look around things are constantly changing and yet not many of us want to change because it is so frightening.  Making a change is challenging because you don’t know what is going to happen with the change that was made; what do you want to change?

  • Your financial status,
  •  your weight
  •  your diet
  •  your job
  •  your relationship

Making changes is hard especially because we are creatures of habit.  So it’s difficult to adjust to changes that are uncertain.  Sometimes we fail to understand that life does not always go the way we want it to go.  You may want to explore a new lifestyle or start a new job and one of the best ways to do this is through knowledge.

There are things in our lives that may need to go, but it’s hard to let go, or we don’t want to let go.

  • It may be bad relationships
  • Bad habits
  • Bad experiences

We all got stories and not all of them is pleasant, so don’t be afraid to do some renovation in your own life.  Renovation means tearing things down and replacing old things with new ones.  Renovations do take time and work but you need to be consistence.

Love Your-self
Loving yourself is being confident, and happy with who you are.  Loving yourself does not mean you are self-centered and vain.  It simple means you know who you are and what you want out of life.  When you love yourself and think well of yourself, you will know how to love others and treat them with respect.

People who love themselves are usually happy and have great self-esteem.  So start loving your-self, and stop finding fault with God’s creation, which is you.  Don’t consider yourself as being imperfect, because no one is perfect we all have imperfections and that’s what makes us who we are.

The slightest mistake you make can crash your self-esteem, but may I remind you everyone make mistakes.  So we all have a lot to improve on which is definitely not a bad thing.  We all have things in our lives that need fixing but that does not mean we can’t love ourselves as we are.  Read more
